This collection explores and romanticizes nostalgia through kitschy storytelling. In this case, it has become a memoir of idyllic days of fruit picking and picnics. The motifs are loosely painted to evoke a sense of childhood whimsy and playfulness. Layers of randomized speckled colors were created using sponging techniques and colored pencils. Furthermore, the color palette involves rich and intense mid tones against a soft ground to create an enchanting and dreamlike world.
